His heart skipped a beat when the doors of the room were thrown open and then swelled when he saw Lacey standing there behind them. He knew he had had questions in his mind and if he knew Lacey, he knew she was feeling nervous, but they had laid all the right groundwork, they had taken all the right steps, and more importantly than that, Ryan just knew that this was what he wanted to do. Lacey met his gaze and grinned gently, feeling all her worries ebb away and feeling foolish for her tears and doubts now. She squeezed his hands lightly, lovingly before turning her gaze to the minister and repeating what her told her, listening to what was said in between. They exchanged vows and wedding bands and were pronounced man and wife, and Lacey tried out her new name in her head with a little grin.
