We are family
He was back at work after a few months off, and though he had been apprehensive about it in the beginning, it actually hadn't been too bad. Because of his new baby at home, he was just on day shifts likely for a few more months, but the guys were just glad to have him back. He missed his family like crazy while he was away and worried all day, but it was good for him to get out and he had called a couple times just to make sure that Gabby was doing okay. Things had been tame for his first day back - he had only had to answer two calls, both for heat-related minor emergencies - so he had spent most of his shift showing baby pictures and catching up with the guys, and had left a little early to get back here. Pushing into the house, he dropped his bag by the door and worked loose the buttons of his uniform shirt, glancing around the quiet curiously. "Anyone home?" He paused for a moment to greet the ecstatic Keiko before continuing in to track down his normally very loud and rambunctious family. He loved this - playing the family man - and couldn't quiet believe that a couple years ago he was shying away from any sort of commitment as if it was poisonous....
