In reply to: Black Death 's message, "The stallion stands still for a moment, absorbing it, and then a cascade of emotions overtakes him, and he cannot decide whether he most wants to leap the moon, buck for sheer pleasure, or pluck a star from the sky to give to the only mare he'd ever love...and she loved him. Finally he understood what he desired most...he only wanted to be with her, and it didn't matter from there...let the world end around them, but he would not bat an eyelid if she were only beside him. Finally, he reaches out and nuzzles her tenderly." on 12:31:17 05/18/02 Sat

Though she is unfamiliar to such affectionate actions, she knows she could want only to get to know them with Death. Together... Together, the possibilities were endless. In him, in them both, she could find the strength that she so often had not, but hid well with a bitter outer shell. She could be settled and yet free; she knew he was the perfect compliment to her nature. They thought so much alike, and he respected her for the mare she was. No, he would never try to suffocate the inner flame that was her great spirit. She, in turn, wished no such thing of him. Too often she had seen mares and stallions both curbed and held in check by love. Too often, she'd seen them completely change for the sake of love. She would not, and she knew Death would not, either. She knew little else, though, of what would come now. She had spoken the secret she had long kept in check, and she was as certain now as she was then that it would set her life into something vastly different from all that she'd become familiar with. It was true that she feared what would come. Now that the words were out and he knew, the fears calmed. Even if the rest of her world were to change, she had something strong and true to steady and calm her. She had them ...

At his touch, her senses start, for they had been straining and acutely alert. Then the sensation tingles and tickles its way through her body until every limb and muscle pulsed with the desire to melt into his own being. She was sure she loved him, more sure than she'd been of anything in her life. She is sure, too, when she reaches out to softly rest her own muzzle on his shoulder, blowing her warm breath on his sleek hide. She may have moved so delicately and gracefully as the other mares of desert-descent, but her intensity gave her a charisma all her own. In this single action- sweeping her arched (out of the bliss she now felt) neck towards the stallion- her own type of grace was most apparent. Her nostrils quivered and her ears were straining towards the stallion, and her gaze never faltered. She did not know what would happen now. She had no clue what would come for them. She only knew that she loved him and that she, for the first time, was genuinely and completely happy ...

The stallion whickers softly at the new brightness of her eyes, realizing it must be in his as well...it was happiness. Silently he prayed it would never be broken...he would give his life first. ((OOC - ack sorry don't feel very creative this morning))Black Death07:10:00 05/21/02 Tue
