And you expressed exactly how I've been feeling about Angel's end - I was sanguine when I first heard, but then my upset grew and grew. Bah. I fully support your cursing of WB execs.

I've been doing fairly well of late, although I've developed an apathetic, slacker edge regarding my job. I'm searching for a new one, but that takes time.

How was Egypt?

I loved the finale of "Angel" a lot. Thinking about it in the week since it aired, and considering Joss's comment that next season would have been about what happens after the old order is overthrown (don't worry, that's not spoilerish for the finale), it occurred to me that a Season Six could have built a fascinating parallel between the consequences of this season and the aftermath of the Cold War, when the world moved from the unnatural but effective (for better or worse) order enforced by the divvying up of nations between America and the Soviet Union and our current disorder, verging on chaos. When I thought of that unfulfilled possibility, I was suddenly very sad about the absence of Joss on TV.

On the plus side, Audra was kind enough to lend me her DVDs of "Firefly" and, after a lukewarm start, I'm now getting caught up in that show. It'll never be "Buffy" for me, but neither will anything else, so that's not really a criticism.
