The only possible justification for bringing Connor back would be as an impetus for having Angel address the ramifications of erasing two years of his friends' memories. They already hinted in the 'Cordy returns' episode that his unilateral decision was morally questionable, and if the gang are having second thoughts about their decision to join W&H, this information could be a vital point.

Any other reason than that is pointless. Connor's story is done.

...to erase his friends' memories could be compared to Willow's decision to brink back Buffy from the dead, in the sense that each displayed a certain amount of hubris. Just as Willow's decision led to Tara's death, thereby completing the arc of the classic tragedy in which a good person's flaw destroys them, it might be that Angel's decision, which led to Fred's death, could fulfill the same dramatic purpose.

I agree, and I hope this is the point of Connor's re-appearance.

"Origin", and he only appears in that one ep. All signs point to Joss wrapping up that thread, rather than returning him to the mix.

Also, according to IMDB, Andrew returns in Episode 20, titled "The Girl in Question" (thought you might like to know, Kuz) along with Michelle Trachtenberg and Juliet Landau & Julie Benz (I'm assuming in the last ever flash back?)

Thanks for the info. I wonder what they'll have Dawn doing - relaying word from Buffy, I assume. One last historical flashback is definitely something to look forward to. Always one of my favorite parts of both shows.

I love those.

I agree you're probably right about Dawn, and I'll reserve judgment on whether that works.

As for Andrew... please no. I'm begging you...

I really don't see a connection between Dawn and Angel. There hadn't been much interaction between the two of them on Buffy. I really don't see the emotional link.
