Thoughts? Opinions?

As I said elsewhere, I was happy with the way they sent Cordelia off. My thinking ran thusly: they made an awful lot of mentions of her role in bringing Jasmine into the world, and even had Wesley say "it's not your fault", but I think there was some karmic retribution going on. Didn't she choose to become a higher being? (I wasn't watching the show at this point, so I could be wrong about it) That choice allowed a chain of horrific events to occur. I think that when Angel decided he was done with W&H, the PTB gave Cordy a chance to say goodbye. She was withering away in a coma, but she could have a few final moments to remind her friends of their mission. And when she had succeeded, she got to say goodbye. I found it incredibly poignant.

Lindsey was incredibly sexy, and I hope that he doesn't get tortured too badly by the Senior Partners.

Hopefully, we've seen the last of Eve.

My prediction: Gunn is going evil.

I loved the many mentions of Doyle, including the commercial. I thought it incredibly appropriate to evoke his character in the 100th episode, especially given that Cordelia was going to die too. I have a thought of the two of them being together now.

I agree with most of what you said. My feelings were a little mixed about the use of Doyle. I liked seeing him, and it did feel right, given that it was the 100th episode; at the same time, they've barely mentioned him in four years, so it felt a tiny bit opportunistic to all of a sudden pay this mych attention to him. Still, I was happy to see him, via the video.

The Angel/Cordy grand passion still causes me actual physical discomfort, I dislike it so much - not because I was such an ardent Buffy/Angel fan, but because these two seem totally wrong together. I actually shut my eyes when they started smooching.

I really liked the very end, though. Simple, poignant, and it made sense for the reasons you stated.

Very nice to see Wesley with a purpose again, at least for a week.

Troublesome to have Spike back to having no purpose, because I'm left asking why he's on the show? Or, why not give him his own show, which James and the character could certainly carry?

Christian Kane plays Lindsey with such gusto - it's a pleasure to watch. I loved his big fight with Angel. ("Because I'm Angel" fell with a thud, for me at least, but otherwise David had some good lines - calling Lindsey a dumbass being among them.) I hope we haven't seen the last of the pipsqueak.

And speaking of pipsqueaks, my one big disappointment was that they didn't just kill Eve outright. They surely would have done so. When she said she was planning "revenge," I laughed out loud. Honey, you couldn't plan a TP party for your high school teacher - don't try to scare me with all your capitol "E" Evilness. Because it's just laughable.

The Angel/Cordy passion was a big reason I stopped watching, in a addition to a feeling of general ennui about the show. The progression of their "relationship" seemed antithetical to the friendship they had nurtured through the first two seasons.
