Willow re-appears in Sunnydale - but not really, er.. she re-appears for some people likeAnya and Spike - but not to Buffy, Dawn and Xander.

I found it hard to understand what was going on at first, but then I settled in to watching the general weirdness. The way they played it, repeating iconic scenes from both perspectives, was fascinating to watch and very cleverly done.

The sharing between Willow and Anya was very touching, the cute lesbian flirtation between the two was intersting - I thought to myself, no, don't go there, that would be too incestuous, Xander would be really confused - maybe there is a future slash-fic there with Willow and Anya!

The gnarl demon was very well done and was very scary, with his sing-song teasing and harping on the fears of his victims - especially Willow.

Oh - but the highlight of the episode was the poseable Dawn - that was hilarious and brilliantly played by all concerned, I have done a bit of that in drama and it is really really hard, to let yourself be posed by another person - without moving - and then when she was re-animated she fell off the sofa, I laughed out loud.

The episode culminated with Dawn and Buffy on the bed - but not in the bed, you understand, with Buffy giving her strength to the healing Willow.

A very thoughtful episode with moments of high comedy.

Thanks for the re-cap.

I only wish they'd come up with a bit better explanation for Willow's problem than wishful avoidance.
