Subject: GG's Weird and Wacky Question of the Day...(current Angel Spoilers)

So, Simon and I keep noticing that when Spike was disappearing, he kept saying he was being dragged to hell. Yet, during BTVS they never referred to it as Hell, but as A Hell dimension. Anyone want to ponder as to why they would change their minds on the concept of Hell?

...it was meant to illustrate Spike's understanding of the gravity of his past sins. Whether or not Joss or his writers believe in the Christian concept of Hell, the William who was raised in 19th century London, and whose reinstalled soul now exists inside Spike, almost certainly would have.

Buffy said she thought she was in Heaven, not a heaven dimension. Perhaps the hell dimensions are Dante's circles of Hell.
