Subject: Help - a point of clarification

In a recent episode of BtVS - the one where Spike's trigger was explored and it went back in history and focused on his relationship with his mother. Excellent episode btw with Wood confronting his inner-demons along with Spike.

Any-hoo it featured the wonderful Juliet Landau as Drusilla and revealed that she 'sired' Spike, but I thought it was either Angelus or Darla who sired Spike?

Could someone clarify the relationships for me?

I must say, I have changed my mind about the show ending at Season 5 with Buffy's death - Season 7 has really blown me away - I am very impressed with the arcs explored in this series.

The tension is created by the fact that I cannot see how The First Evil can be defeated - so the resolution of that will prove interesting. We had the introduction of the Preacher tonight - and we lost a few more Slayers-to-be - so it is building up nicely.

On a personal level, Kerry is still in hospital, but she has been released from confinement after a month - so we get to sneak away to the Quiet Room for some smoochies! :-)
Unfortunately she is on close-obs, so we are interrupted every fifteen minutes by a nurse. :-(

I wind Kerry up by ensuring that we are caught in the most 'compromising' positions - whilst maintaining a level of decency. The looks on the nurses' faces is priceless and Kerry gets no end of stick and abuse from her fellow patients!

We hope now we can get some day releases next week for the office-party and also a day/night release for Xmas day - one can only hope. She is doing very well and coming round a lot.

Thanks for all your help! :-)

In the crossover episodes from Buffy's" Season Five and "Angel's" Season Two, "Fool For Love"/"Darla," we see William the Bloody Awful Poet walk down an alley, where he sits brokenheartedly after being rejected by Cecily. Drusilla finds him there and sires him.

Spoike's adoration of the woman who vamped him. He probably wouldn't have centered on her so much if he had been her sister instead of his mother. Dru on the other hand just falls madly into bed with any of her family.

This is also explored in more detail in Angel as well.

In addition to the facts above, if you're remembering Spike's line in School Hard about Angel being his sire, I like to think that Drusilla couldn't show newly-fledged William the way to be a vampire. That duty fell to Angel, who acted as his (abusive) guide.

I'll keep hoping for the best with Kerry.
