Subject: Galant gauge problems
In reply to: Jeremy Jones 's message, "Mitsubishi Galant problems" on 00:11:36 12/19/01 Wed

I just today bought an 01 galant and as I'm driving it home I realize the engine coolant gauge is up past the red. I checked the oil, fine, checked and filled the coolant, fine, the fan is working, I drove it for about 20 minutes before I got home and I live in arizona so naturally the engine will be hotter than normal. Got home and checked the fluids then let the car sit it's night now so the engine could cool down. I turn the ignition and just in battery mode without the engine turning over the coolant gauge goes right into the red. Was wondering if it's just a gauge problem or could it be something far worse. Should I just take this car back and get a refund?
