Subject: Mitsubishi Galant problems

It is a 1991 Galant. under the dash on passenger side there is a clicking sound as if a relay is opening and closing. One click and the engine stops. Still have electrical power, starter turns, engine turns over but will not start. Sometimes there are quick multiple clicks. Each time the engine stalls then restarts with the next click when it is moving and in gear (5 speed). Any ideas on what is happening? THANKS!!
