Do you know this woman Gabbie? Do you think she would mind anyone passing it on along with her story, of course... and can you tell us how she's surviving today?

I met a girl in treatment that would get very drunk. like get an ambulance drunk, and mutilate herself. Her whole being was destructive. It was horrifying to deal with her. If you tried to just give her best wishes she would start a rampage about how people were always taking advantage of her and she couldn't trust anyone and there was no need to think about anything ever changing... that sort of thing. It wasn't ever always the same nasty opinion either, she had a zillion of 'em and a reason to back all of them up. We used to watch recorded Joyce Meyer and at the end discuss what was said and what it means to us... HOLY GHOST GABBIE! They had to remove her from the group a few times! I thought her head would spin and she'd spew pea soup! Self mutilation is the result of a lot of other problems and gets to be a catch 22 for most people who suffer it. That's why I ask about this author. It would be nice to think the girl I knew will eventually find some peace.
