21:10:24 Subject: For Kim & Others who deal with cutting ....

Message:
I wrote this poem to share with those who may be struggling in various areas of their lives and feel like God doesn't care anymore. I am an alcoholic, a food-aholic, a former drug user and a self-injurer, but in the past year and a half, through a lot of prayer from friends and, of course, the mercy and grace of our most loving Savior, I have managed to put away those destructive behaviors and begin a ministry of helping others who are now where I once was. If this is you, don't give up --- what God did for me, He is MORE THAN ABLE to do for you too -- may God touch your heart as you read through my poem.

GOD KNOWS YOUR PAIN

Ohhhh God, I'm in a real bad place
I'm struggling just to seek Your face
Temptations' power has me in its' grip
And I feel like a failure every time I slip
With every fall comes tortured pain
As I slice & cut to feel whole again
And I wonder as I look to the stars
My body marked with wounds and scars
Where are You, God? Why can't You see;
Exactly what is happening to me?
But then I hear You gently say
My child, I haven't moved; it's you who walked away
I see the pain you're going through
And I know how hard life is for you
And as the tears fall from your eyes
I hold you close and wipe them dry
And with each scar that you attain
My child, it's Me who feels the most pain
I understand, my precious one
For this is something I have done
My body was bruised and wounded too
My nail-scarred hands were pierced for you
Your body is a temple - the place where I dwell
And I have the power to make you well
So look to Me for strength and endurance
For love, for hope and a calm assurance
And I promise that when you reach out to Me
Your life I'll renew, crowned with victory !!
