Gary, there's no battlefield you can hunt around Chas. that I know of but you can hunt the beaches and most of the parks, but don't go downtown. I don't know for sure but they tell me they can conficate your detector if they catch you detecting downtown. If anybody knows different, jump on in here. You might ask a cop when you see one, he should be able to help you. Look around for a good looking spot and ask somebody if you can detect, most people don't care but some do...Check old homesites and construction sites, there was a lot of CW activity in the whole area so most anywhere you look could have some goodies..
