Western Civilization will go universal and will lose itself after it has turned global. For the very fact which differentiates it (its direction which is towards the west) will be lost in translation. But not all is sad. After world war 3 which will probably be with the rest of the world especially islam the west will overexhaust itself and die of imperial overstretch. Then a new asian civilization will take its place. The west will leave behind science and technology as its brainchildren (or mental bastards if you prefer). Oh and yes also its sex appeal will be a factor that will leaven the bread and butter of the future civilization which is yet to come. Probably the worst civilization as far as us vs them and pollution, resource depletion and all out total war and revolution are concerned. But it also gave us some pleasure, some freedom and the occasional takeaway pizza that tasted awesome.
