Personally, I prefer the 3 man format because I get tired of having to wait so long in between games. Played the 3 man format the first season I played and liked it a whole lot better. Granted, it's better for the bars to have bigger teams, but it really sucks to be throwing well and have to sit and get cold.
As for the finals, I understand there are many leagues in many associations that do it the way we do, but I don't understand why there need to be playoffs at all. How you end the season should be your placement, unless of course two teams are tied for a trophy position. Then I think they should have to play off.
