It's been a while and I was drawn here this morning. It is nice to see that the site is still here, and comforting as well.
There was a strange experence a few months ago, when I got down really ill and could not catch my breath so to speak. There is still some time that I cannot account for, time missing that is. In short, I was brought back to life a few times within a 6 hour period. That was an interesting experence, and a learning experence as well. The diagnosis ends up being COPD, and now I still have a tank of liquid oxigen sitting in my diningroom that I use.
Besides that, I am in College and maintainng a decent GPA. I was at a 3.84 gpa prior to the hospitalization, and I am currently working on getting that or close to that gpa again. According to my accidemic counclor, she sees no problem with me getting it back up there before I obtain my associates degree.
Oh, and I've moved accross town since I was here last as well. Yeh, a house move just weeks before going to the hospital,lol. Lets not forget that my new grandson is now 3 months old too.
Ace has been doing volinteer work at a church food pantry for almost a year now, and they are giving her referals to other oppertunities with great references. The summer program where she worked last summer has given her great references as well as wanting her back this year but she may take on a different summer job to broaden her exprences. She has been made an offical member of that church even though she does not attend their services and she is clearly not a christian. The reason they made her a member is due to her positive outlook and dedication to the pantry. She's one of the first to show up and helps set up, she stays the course, and helps clean up afterwards and therefore is one of the last to leave.
Anyways, this is just an update of things here. While there are finanical struggles and health issues, life is good for now.
