Subject: New Diamante site definitely coming

OK, I think we definitely have a consensus - everybody agrees we need a new site, and more importantly a better forum. I have worked full-time on the web for the last few years, so I know my stuff and will work on getting something together. To everybody who commented - either here, or by email - thank you! I've not had time over the last couple of days to reply to every message, but I read every one and have taken the comments on board.

I am starting work now on putting a site together on my current host. As soon as I've got enough work done on the site to make it public, I'll post it here. A lot of people have volunteered help - the backend stuff is actually fairly simple, and I can easily put all this together and administer it myself. Where I could particularly use help is in thinking of a good list of frequently asked questions and good, detailed answers, as well as getting together some guides (preferably with photos) for any mods or user repairs that people have done. For example, I recently had to take apart my second gen's console to change a bulb, and had a heck of a time finding any guide for where the clips holding the console in were located - now that I know how to get it apart, I may do so again and take some photos of the process to help newbs repeat it. Also, any companies or sites people know of all that sell parts for our cars, or specialise in servicing foreign cars, other diamante sites we should link to, etc. etc.

Probably the best idea would be if anybody who has time to help preparing this kind of stuff can start thinking about it, and working on getting the text, photos, etc. ready. Post here so everybody knows what you're working on, and I will let you all know when I'm ready to start putting things into the new site design.
