Have you thought of running starter at 24 volts ?
Most of the works rally cars ,ran this system .Using an additional soloniod. BDA's would not start either, when they were hot .You have two battery's on the car already
Our class B car starts without a slave battery, all day long with a precationary charge at lunch time
