Hey pookie! Yes it is me - still alive here. Computer blew up so I'm not online as much now. Am using an old, slow machine that crashes a lot. But at least I can get online and do email.

Yes I have so ideas for you. Here are some thoughts: 1) Call the United Way they have excellent, current referral info at their fingertips for each area. Sometimes there are state and/or county programs that exist for just this kind of thing. 2) Look on the web for a program called Christmas in April - it is sponsored by a national organization that does home repairs for folks in need. They provide funds to chapters at the county level for this. 3) Look on the web for housing subsidy programs- never know what might turn up. 4) Habitat for Humanity - excellent group - if they can't help you directly, they could give you some good info I'm sure.

And you are not alone - no way, no how! You all these good friends here and at least two web moms that I know of.. ;-)
