Hi Alison, I don't know if I have any answers for you, but I just saw your post and wanted to try to cheer you up.
Here is what I do to get my husband's attention, I leave. It is hard for me to do that anymore with all that is wrong with me, but it has gotten his attention in the past.
I'm not telling you to leave your husband, but something has to get his attention.
My husband seems to love it when I'm sick that way he can take charge. When I'm feeling better and can speak for myself, he hates that. About 4 yrs. ago something drastic came up and I filed for divorce. All during that time he was kissing my butt trying to talk me out of it. He was so sorry and blah blah blah. Well, it turns out that some papers werent filled out right and it was dismissed. That was at my own choice. I could have gotten them filled out but chose not to. I forgave him.
I sure wish I had the magic answer for you, but I don't. Just know that I'm praying for you and thinking about you. Plus all the others here on the board. I haven't posted in a long time. I just seem to be lost is space.
Sending you hugs and love, Nancy
