I don't know where to begin... A friend of mine who has FM was put into the hospital yesterday. It was scary.... See, we were working on her classroom and then she had to go to the doc and I stayed to do more painting in her room. About two hours passed and then I heard my cell phone go off; and, since I have her on a specific ringtone, I knew instantly that it was her. Anyway, I knew from the moment we both got there that something terribly was wrong and bothering her. She had to go to a meeting and afterwards she was even more distraught. I went up to her and started rubbing her back and then leaned over and gave her a hug. That is when she began to "breakdown." She started to cry and hugged ME even tighter and I just let her cry and rubbed her back-- anything to show that I was there for her; that is when she told me that she had a doc appt. I am guessing that while she was at the doc appt, her doc felt it was best that she wasn't to doo anything but REST!!! When she called to tell me that she was being put into the hospital, she was crying so much. I feel like I'm not doing enough and that there is SOOO much more I could do for her. Today, school started and she isn't there. The earliest her doc will let her come back is early next week. I haven't heard from her since she called to tell me that she was being put in and to make sure that the two teachers (head department ones) could do something to give to her classes (today). It just isn't fair!!!!!!!! I am so lost because I don't know what to do and I want to do everything and anything possible to make her feel better; to feel "normal." I don't know what hospital she is in, nor any "real" way of getting in contact with her. All I have is her cell number, but I am not even sure if she took it with her, or just gave it to her mom. I also have her mom's number, but I really don't know her mom. I've only really talked to her mom about 3 times. I don't even know if I should try her house and hopefully her husband will be there to pick up and I could ask him. What should I do??? Any advice????
