Subject: " Hollow Victory" **spoilers** for those who didn't see the episode!

Hi! I'm the owner of this site, and I've decided to change the format from just Tape Exchange, to Tape Exchange and Message Board. I encourage anyone who'd like to, to please feel free to discuss TLW here.

I'm going to start off with some comments about the show I'm actually still watching now.

I guess my only real complaint about this episode is how quickly Ned is been made into a 'fightin' man'. I can understand him evolving somewhat from the non-violent, young reporter into a more "agressive" member of the party, but now they've made him, almost overnight, into a rash man who seems to want to fight first, almost before any other option is explored, as Veronica pointed out, who seems to have lost a sense of humor ~ he's not having fun anymore. I suppose it could be explained by death changing him, but it's not always a pretty sight.

I liked the little "girl-talk" conversation between Marguerite and Veronica. It's about time!

I thought it was interesting that they finally cleared up the Veronica/Ned relationship, or lack of it. Finally an end to the back and forth are-they-or-aren't-they! According to Veronica, love doesn't always last, but friendship can, so I guess that's that. I'm not surprised.

I also wondered why they've decided to "lose" Veronica now, when it's been fairly well-known for awhile now that Ned (David Orth) will only be in about 7 episodes this season and Veronica (Jennifer O'Dell) about 14. David must be close to his end for the season soon, and why lose Jen now ~ wouldn't have made more sense to lose her later? I guess the writers must have some method to their madness... :)

Anyway, please feel free to reply!
