For all you astute observers out there ABC now has rights to the show and God knows when they'll make the supreme effort of letting the public knows when it premieres. After all, we should know better than rely on the ABC not to get political about release dates. They only update their website weekly-obviously monthly would be too much of a struggle. I am fed up with wasting so much time on the web trying to find an answer when they are too tired to lift a finger to tell you. For a show that is now wholly made here it is a feature of this country that not even a month can be given for its premiere date. Remember the days of Blakes Seven for instance-two years after Britain, with the LW it is three-pretty good, don't you think? Even the "trash" night-Saturdays would be a good way to start but reruns of Monarch of the Glen are FAR too important. Maybe the SBS should so it in between the Weather reports in the afternoon. At least they have something in common (the ABC that is) with our gloriusly inept Federal Government. Let's hope no-one is an Ansett worker or with the fees bank charge leave their money in one because he (Treasurer)would be likely to giggle when everyone LOST their money when they went belly up. Maybe some Americans should put the episodes up on a special website where we can watch them for nothing, then the slothfulness of the ABC wouldn't matter. I mean even the X-Files website has details of the Premiere of Season Nine in July-which is more than can be said for the last three months as far as Channel Ten is concerned-what holidays they must be having!
