Here is where all Weyrlings are to come to train their dragons. If your dragon is a dragonet, it can be trained to fly, and if it's a weyrling, it can be trained to go between. Each Weyr will have it's own WeyrlingMaster, whom all young riders obey. Check the Riders page of your respective Weyr to see what age your dragonet is! Weyrlings also care for their dragons here, but once fully grown and trained, they move into the Perches.

R'kan went over the useage of the straps, and how to position them properly. He looked over at Sokorth, and at the same time they started relaying the flight instructions, R'kan to the riders and Sokorth to the dragons.

R'kan finished with a demonstration and a final warning, "Watch where you're flying".

Blinking in from between Z'vi shakes his head, pointing downwards towards the Weyrling barracks. [[As near as possible to there please Vith]] showing Vith where he means Z'vi tightens his grip of the riding straps, bracing himself for the rushed landing.

Almost before Viths legs had touched the ground Z'vi jumped from the bronzes back moving towards the Weyrling Barracks. Halting beside the door he studdies the green that stands there a moment. **Hushath, Heltia's green... the girlfriend** Vith informs him, **S'rith, Wasith & heltia re inside.**

Jath bounded in, Jai following behind him, obivously searching for the oil, she found it near another Hatchling and grabbed at it, smothering her dear blue's scales with it until finally the itching had stopped, in both minds. Jath then walked into the nearest empty room, instantly laying himself on the stone couch, asleep before Jai could folllow him. When she did go into the weyr, she found it heavy with dust, and nearly sneezed, but found her wya to the cot and fell asleep as well, too exhausted to do anything else.

Entering with tired steps the green hatchling hesitates just inside the fdoorway of this new place, waiting for the reasuring presence of the fair haired female she had chosen.
*Heltia* the green addresses the blonde as she enters behind the hatchling. *Which is your room?*
[I do not yet have one i have chosen. You choose] Heltia replies, her ocean blue orbs still searching for S'rith or Wasith.
*Let us wait and see which is your friends room* the green comments, settling down in the enterance room and looking at the pair of firelizards that swoop above them chittering loudly.
[Hushath!] Heltia exclaims in suprise before smilling, still unused to her feelings and thoughts being senced by the green. [Thank you.] Seing a pot stood beside one of the walls she grins walking over and picking it up, recognising the oil container [Here, Hold still] she says as she starts to oil the hatchling while she waits. [Will stop you itching]

-All'ndar hopped into Dialith's talons, and then onto the ground. He scooped Riel off his head and set her on his shoulder, humming contentedly to himself. His four flits blinked in rapidly, eaching taking up a seperate perch. Mejin took his other shoulder, Taeck his left arm, Tasanon his other and Ymbir his head. All'ndar sighed and placed Taeck and Tasanon on Dialith, removing the startled blue from his head afterwards. Dialith chuckled, eyes whirling a bright blue.-

Wow... that's really awful... Br'en thinks, wondering what would happen to the man he felt so much pity for, even though he'd never seen him before. He sudders at the thought of anything like that ever happening to V�mith--

Don't even think about that, the young bronze interrupts that thought sharply. He adds his own mournful call to the chorus, then slinks over to a bunk to rest. Br'en follows, hoping the man will be alright...

Lieth gave a mere nod in return, and with that gave Greyth'rn a leg up. He grinned to himself, proud of his dragon and settled himself,

And with that they took to the air, Greyth'rn continued his praise of Lieth who in return crooned lovingly. Suddenly Greyth'rn yelled, obivously he and Lieth had not paid attention...

Lieth! Watch O----

Lieth gave an alarmed bugle, a wooden pillar appearing from seemingly nowhere infront of them. Greyth'rn's straps, having not been secured tightly enough came undone, causing him to fall from Lieth. Lieth who could not evade the pillar vanished between, as instincts told.
Greyth'rn though, saw none of this, instead now lay on the stone floor, unconicous... but alive... A sudden emptiness filling his heart and mind, a black pit... he had been Careless...
His firelizards blinked in from between, Kain creeling mournfully. Zion bugling at the loss of Lieth forever?

A'ron moved his head, craning to see teh training dragons from his weyr. Daroth also was vaguely interested, A'ron, glancing at his lifemate grinned, Think we're Weyrlings yet? Daroth gave a nod, We're long past Weyrlings, when do you think, We'll start training? A'ron shrugged slightly, " Dunno depends." He said aloud and sat back to watch.

Xanth opened a single orb later, brown hide gleaming dully, Is training finished? He asked his near asleep lifemate, who answered with a grin, Think so... Xanth nodded and J'xom continued, Do we move into the Perches then? I mean if training is complete... He sighed, knowing it would be hard to leave a place he had come so attached to over the time. Xanth rumbled agreement, before reminding J'xom how hungry he was, and the two departed like so.

+She yawned, scratching her behind her ear before she turned to close her make shift curtains. The femme hesitated, looking around the common area, remembering the occurences there, such as Delth's first flight. She shook her head, not wishing to recall that memory, however All'ndar's words rsounded in her head as she left the curtains open. 'There's no need to get angry, Allirea. I guess you have changed since Impressing Delth. But then again, don't we all. And you only make enemies by showing temper....' The youth stewed over the words, wondering if the male was right. The emotions she had rarly shown or felt before had becom more prevalent and known to her, when before she'd impressed, she felt nothing. She glanced at the snoozing green, smiling softly to herself. The green had brought out something-good or bad, maybe even both-in her, but she was glad she'd Impressed. It was the first time she'd actually been cared about. She broke her train of thought, falling onto her own bed and into a slight doze, always alert...+

The brownrider made a mad dash to the barracks. "Are we late?" he gasped aloud. By nearly a month, came Dalleth's wry retort. ~Oh really?~ Really. No joke. "We didn't mean to sleep in that much. . . Oh, shards, now what?" If dragons could have impish grins on their faces, that was the expression on Dalleth's features. We could learn by ourselves. ~What do you mean, by ourselves?~ We could figure it all out, straps, everything. ~Not between, surely. . .~ Well, we might ask for help on that one. But we obviously need to catch up. ~True. Let's do it!~
Grinning, 'Tai set to work. First, there was the task of the riding straps. "How the devil do these things work?" I don't know... "Ah!" He grinned as suddenly the light dawned. "Got it! Now..."
His brown was full grown, or nearly so, and 'Tai had trouble clambering to the top of Dalleth's neck. As soon as he was strapped in, he gave the brown the thumbs-up.
"Let's go!"
In tacit agreement, Dalleth leapt up, fluttering his wings experimentally before bringing them down in a full sweep, carrying him up into the sky. The brown dipped into a current and rose higher, crowing his triumph to the skies. We've done it, 'Tai! K'lashtai was beyond words as the two skimmed the bottoms of clouds. ~They look real, don't they?~ They are real. ~No, I mean... they look solid...~ Oh, yes, they do. Dalleth gave out a draconic chuckle. But I think we should go back down now, before they miss us. ~Us? They don't know we exist...~ Yes, they do. Besides, if they don't, we must make sure they do. Laughingly, 'Tai agreed, and the two glided down to a rather bumpy landing. K'lashtai leaped off, grinning rather foolishly. "Wow! That was great! But what next?..." And the two searched for another pair that might help them with going between...

The Next Step -- R'kan and Sokorth, 17:00:51 01/01/02 Tue
Seeing the flame, R'kan smiles. "Now that you've got the basics, it's time for training in thread-burning. If any of you have Fire Lizards, get them here to listen."

At that, his three fire lizards blink in. Two browns and a Bronze. They fly around him, then settle down, chirping at each other.

"The Browns are Vern and Ruka, and the bronze is Khadar. They all know what I am intending to do, and can explain it to other fire Lizards."

He gestures to the pile of ropes, and Sokorth readies himself for launching into the air.

"This shall be done without riders for now."

Ruka, Vern and Khadar each grab a rope in their claws, and fly upwards. Sokorth leans down on his hindlegs, then launches himself into the air. Ruka lets go of his rope first, and then promptly blinks between, appearing and landing on R'kan's shoulder. Sokorth flames the rope, then the ones dropped by Vern and Khadar. He lands, looking rather pleased with himself.

R'kan turns to the Weyrlings again. "Ruka, Vern and Khadar will continue helping with the ropes, while any fire lizards that you have are welcome to join in. There are enough ropes for training at regular intervals, and for all of us at the Weyr."

He settles himself against Sokorth, his fire lizards readying themselves to get ropes for the weyrling practices.

((OOC: You can Power Play the fire lizards, but they are not allowed to get flamed. This is temporary while the training is going on.))
