Once they had finished blinking between safely, she concentrated on the next step, even if she was late she was determined.
"Here..." She picked up a large chunk of firestone that had not been already digested and fed it to Jath, warning him to think about his second stomach all the while.
After she fed him a considerable amount, Jath paused, then belched, a small flame flickering out into the air.
Jai grinned and fed him more, but seeing the ropes were all charred by riders before her, had to skip that part.
And she lied down on the small cot in her barrack, not caring if she was now to move into the Perches or not.
Jath was beside her.
