S'dar stood confidantly on the Sands, knowing with the confidance some hold that he would Impress, and that it would be a green. When he saw one of the smaller eggs start to rock on a regular basis, he turned his eyes towards it. Do you hold my green? he thought. As the egg toppled over on itself, Shendar saw the green come out.

She made her way slowly but surely to him, and Shendar waited with open arms for the green, his green.

Love and warmth suffused S'dar as he stared at his new--lifemate. That really was the only word for the inexpressable joy of finding that match for life. "Hungry!" he murmured guiltily.

"Of course you must be hungry, Serrath. Let's go feed you," he murmured, escorting his beloved green off the sands to the feeding facilities of Honshu Weyrhold.
