She would be boring a hole in Talen's back with her eyes, were it not that most of the time she was too busy trying to make sure she didn't end up in a hole and die. Which, she's fairly certain - due largely to her pessimistic approach to life - is what will eventually happen. Oh well. Nothing to do but go forward, right? And so she continues, doing her best to keep up and avoid the various holes Talen isn't warning her about, the dratted creature...not that she'd say so aloud, of course. Eventually, the inevitable truly happens. Almost. One of the sudden drops Lialye slip into turns out to be far deeper than most humans. In fact, the hole is probably deeper than most elephants. Lialye slips under without a sound. A small undertow pulls against her, trying to suck her as deep as possible. A muffled voice in her mind calls out, �...Lialye? Human? Where did you go?'
