  • Naverin turns from staring at the object in the sky to Kal'nith. "I didn't realize you were awake, sorry. So what exactly is it? You say it will turn the swamp the a paridise; how ecacly is that?   • ‘Well, I'm not sure how to explain.' Kal'nith shifts uneasily. In Naverin's mind comes a flood of images. The golden object opens to a flood of light, and when the light clears the swamp is no more, but instead there are rolling hills, emerald forests, distant snow-peaked mountains, and clear rivers everywhere. The land is alive and happy, and it is summer all the time. All of the wolves live happily and in peace. ‘Life was always like that,' Kal'nith explains, ‘Until one day...' The vision grows darker. The vision is shown from Kal'nith's view, as she looks up to see Fenvir talking to some shadow in the distance. They seem to reach an agreement, and the shadow leaves. But soon it returns, and strikes the land. It steals all of the life and forces it all into one object, a golden egg-like thing...Very similar to the one flying overhead. ‘But the wolves cannot touch that thing. The wolves cannot see the shadow. Not anymore. That is why we need you to help us find paradise.' (NT) -- Fate, 13:26:23 12/04/04 Sat
    • "Does Fenvir have a plan to get paradise back to the land?" Naverin looks slightly distraught. "Why is it that hte shadow returned at stole paradise? Didn't he and Fenvir come to an agreement?     • Kal'nith is silent for a long time. Her reply is one word long, ‘Betrayal.' The concept appears dark within her mind. 'Yes,' she answers slowly after another short silence, 'Fenvir plans to drive the shadow out of the land. When it leaves, paradise should return. But we can't see the shadow. Mankind is able.'     • "I understand that you say we can see the shadow, but how are we supposed to fight it and make it leave? I've never faught a shadow before, and I'm not really sure I would know how to." After a pause of Naverin pondering this she says, "Well even if I'm confused over the whole matter, I'm sure you and Fenvir will assist us and you will get your paradise back."   • Chaos sits quietly, watching the night sky. You never get stars like this in Carnerik, he decides, if this is the view, I think I can understand how it could be paradise...After some time, he snaps back to being alert. He was on watch! No time to star-gazing! Still...Chaos remembers just how long it's been since he has had a good sleep. Gaugh, he thinks, I'm gonna need a picker upper. He reaches for a flask at his side and pops the cork. Taking a small sip, he puts the drink back in his belt. He called it "A brownish drink of crushed beans that makes you hyper for a while." As soon as your characters are finished with questions, or you just post ‘So and so carries on with the watch peacefully,' I'll end First Watch and you can get on with the dreaming. Man has always seems so fascinated with names...Will Guide suffice?" She bows again, "If it helps, this is the land before the demon came. This is paradise, home of Our Kind. That is all, really." Ario finds himself welcomed by both his prey and his predator brethren down below. None of the animals seem interested in hunting or fleeing.   • Yumakami stands and stares when the woman approaches. She too had checked to see if this was real. Her pinched arm confirmed her suspicions. Listening to the woman speak, Yumakami replies, "'Our Kind'? What is this 'Our Kind'?   • OOC: Is it just me or am I using too many capitals? The Swamp, Our Kind, the Demon...and there's more, too. I'm not done with my abuse of the English language yet. I'm trying not to have too many, but they just seem to...capitalize themselves. That must be it! (The post for Kia and Ario is inside.
