Terra follows Lunae slowly, accepting that she knew exactly where they were headed, and therefore walked at her leisure. She too took note of the familiar surroundings, noting the birds' songs, and who had nests where. That's why it occurred to her that something was wrong over in the West, where birds were quickly flying out of their nests. Whatever the disturbance was, it was large enough to frighten every bird in the area.

Terra quickens her pace. Whatever was frightening the birds was traveling towards Lunae. Terra realizes too late that she had been dawdling, and it did not look like she would be able to warn Lunae in time.
