Whenever he became bored with a current trail, he would squint into the foilage and point excitedly, "Look! A shortcut! Let's go look!" and crash through the underbrush until (by some lucky miracle) he came to another path. Since he was so large and heavy, his paths were easy to follow, and due to his nature, he was hard to abandon.
