The tiger hits the ground, and the wolf backs away with a few hurried steps. Once again it raises its tail like a scorpion, and shifts it from side to side slowly. The tiger can hear a low whimper, but cannot sense any fear from this beast. It lowers its neck protectively, and takes two cautious steps towards the tiger. Suddenly it swings its tail sideways on the ground, in a large sweeping motion. By the time it reaches the tiger, it would be just below shoulder level (for the tiger, not a person) and difficult to duck under or jump over. Before the tiger really has time to react, the tail manages to wrap him tightly, pinning him in coils of a powerful binding. The tail is not trying to crush the small animal but is clearly attempting to remove the tiger from action. At the moment, it's all the tiger can do to not pass out. His stomach and lungs are under a lot of pressure.

Kia, the wolf follows the glint of the sword but is unable to turn quickly. It crashes its shoulder into the tree, and remains there momentarily. That's long enough for you to strike the neck. (I'm just going to assume that you take the opportunity, please correct me if this was not your intent.) You stab inward. The fur is like steel, and is difficult to penetrate, but soon you manage to pierce skin. There you slash, for greatest effect. The wolf cries in agony. It is not dead, but clearly wounded. It sways for a moment, and then sits down slowly. It appears to have lost all intention of fighting, but it is watching your sword carefully. It makes no aggressive movement.

  • OOC Lunae, Yumakami, this one is yours. -- Creatures of the Woods/Fate, 17:09:10 10/05/04 Tue
  • Yumakami grins, "Keep it up!" she yells while her friend attacks, but then she finds herself too busy holding on while the wolf moves about. Her main reason up here was to stop the tail, and that's what she'll do. She steadies herself, and draws back her right arm. Heaving it forward with all her might, she attempts to break (or dislocate) the bone, just above the base joint. (NT) -- Terra Yumakami, 17:13:04 10/05/04 Tue
  • Lunae does take this opportunity to stike, but she tries to stike at an area that would injury the wolf, but not be fatal. Her main intention is to end the battle, not to kill. She hopes that if she can do enough damage that it will drop the creatures' morale and will to fight. (NT) -- Luane, 18:02:32 10/05/04 Tue
