Tenji clenched her teeth, trying as carefully as she could to remove the bandages. Keff, who was moping nearby, seemed to be slightly amused by her antics, probably never having suffered from anything more than scratches.
"Rachnor!" she spat, having torn up some delicate layers of dried blood, and watched the crimson liquor start flowing down her side. "I really ought to become a hermit."
Keff flicked his ears lazily and gave her a Phia-ish grin, "I really doubt I will live the day seeing you settle down and never pick up a fight again."
Tenji growled to herself at opening a new source of fresh blood. In some state of fury she grabbed the bandages firmly and with a clean swipe, tore the rest away in one go. Howling in pain, Tenji fell onto her bed, the blood gushing out. Keff withdrew as quickly as his Phia body allowed, feeling slightly intimidated. Grimacing in pain and at the realization of her stupidity, Tenji tried to locate the fresh bandages blindly, trying her very best to convince herself that she wasn't about to die.
After much effort, which involved even more pain, she lay in her now bloody bed, the biggest cut freshly bandaged. "Keff!?" she called, expecting him to be somewhere near, "I think we should get away from here. It's getting way too tempting to overdoze on the painkillers."

A few hours later, Keff steered the ship away from the forest area. Tenji was fortunately sleeping, and he was pretty sure where he was headed.
