"Oh, no...none of them?? Our whole class? Our whole Weyr?? Noooo...." She could say no more. Her heart overflowed with sorrow. An entire weyr lost?? How many more?? Had most of their world died that day?? She thought with sudden irony that if someone hadn't managed to rescue Sl'th's family, her child, (or one of them if there really were two) would be next in line to Hold. Not that there was anything to Hold now. The Hold was gone...and she had not wished for her line to Hold there. Her family was destined for the weyr, or so she had hoped. She thought of her friends, so many she would never see again. Tears flowed freely from her eyes. Sarinor, too, was speechless, and only radiated feelings of great sorrow.
