Subject: The fight continues...

*The golden queen flies well, but her rider falters. The swinging and use of the heavy flamethrower is tiring under normal circumstances, and with the odd Threadfall and a bad score... S'sha groans as another spark of pain temporarily numbs her left arm. Hang on, rider mine. Your tanks are empty. Despite keeping an eye out, the Weyrlady hadn't even noticed the last few shots at Thread missing. The queen flashes between and back again, landing gracefully, despite her own Threadscore. 'Sha slips off and unties the empty canisters, replacing them with full ones and then swinging up. Easily, the dragon launches herself, reassuming her place in the queen's wing with her rider valiantly flaming Thread.*

'Leth, it's getting worse.' The candid remark causes Leth to flinch mentally as he swerves and belches flame. You'll live. We don't need to lose anyone else, let alone us. A small smile tugs at the rider's lips as the brown swoops low, dodging a clump of Thread and flashing between to avoid another. 'Let's stay unscored, shall we?' The half-amused, half-sarcastic reply elicits a laugh from the brownrider. No, I was planning on suffering extreme pain and wounds, weren't you? Then, as more Thread falls, the pair resume fighting.

~The greenrider ducks a clump of Thread and just before it can touch Palirth's back, they're between and back again. ^That was way too close.^ I know. Shivering with excitement, Eve ducks again and once more they complete the dodging maneuver. Then, as the dragon places herself properly in formation, she begins to flame and char Thread with a vengeance. Last Fall, her rider had nearly died. This time, it's the Threads' turn!~

T'yin and Viouth, covering both their and Euroth's area, efficiently battle the deadly menace. Then, just as the green backwings to dodge a clump falling towards her head, a searing pain sends her between with a shrill scream. 'VIOUTH!' I am scored. 'Where?!' My back. 'Shards...' It is not bad. Swearing mentally, T'yin still maintains the picture of where they emerge again, which by all calculations should be Thread-free. But the pair erupt into a clump of Thread. This time, it's T'yin who screams as the steaming, deadly parasite eats into his flesh. Viouth, only minorly scored by this second incident, brings them between quickly enough to save her rider's life. Flashing back near the ground, it's all the green can do to land without breaking something, her slender rider slumped across her back, bloody. HELP! she shrieks, adding a frantic and brassy scream to her urgent plea.

~T'yin and Viouth are down. ^Oh boy. C'mon, Palirth, we gotta cover their area too.^ They had been taking care of Euroth's as well. ^We can do it. We're actually experienced.^ Eve hangs on and shouts directions and warnings to her dragon as the pair begins to flame three times the area they can actually handle.~
