Her grey eyes scan the letter, their edges filling with tears as she continued to read on. Seeing as how her husband was talking with her step-children, she dabbed at her eyes quickly and told the green flit to stay while she turned and rushed off to her Lord.
She paused momentarily in the doorway to hear an explosive answer from one of her step-children. Most likely Nevant. She knocked and hid a smile as it grew silent. The door opened sluggishly, revealing Kallendel, his normally cheery green eyes bleak. Hallie smiled politely at the children and towed him away.
"Kallendel, read this."
She murmured, handing him to the note. She watched him closely as he read, finding his reaction desirable.
"Well?"
She asked, letting her voice trail on. Kallendel looked up and nodded once.
"Of course, dear. How could I not? I'm not sure how Nevant will take it, but we can always do something about him."
Hallie smiled and started to write a reply in her flowing handwriting as she answered him.
"Our family does seem to be getting larger, doesn't it? Losing All'ndar helps out a bit to balance things out. Maybe if we can get Nevant or Seldon to another Hold, it would be better. Seeing as how we have three new children on the way."
Kallendel nods absently, signaling for Sheridan. The brown flit comes in and obediantly stands by while the note is attached to his leg. He cheeps and flickers out. Lady Hallie-Skye sinks into her Lord's arms with a sigh, looking up into his eyes.
"We will be having one or two others, love. Besides the three from the Hold."
She leaned over and whispered in his ear, elicting a pleasing response.
"I'm pregnant..."
