Welcome to the new 37th Texas Message Forum.

The forum requires your name and Email address and is moderated to prevent "brave" radicals from either side of the issue of the Forgotten Confederates from posting childish, anonymous insults.

Opposing points of view will be posted as long as they are adult and based on scholarship and logic.

I only recently discovered your site and thought some of your members might be interested in a dedication ceremony on the Erath Co. courthouse square here in Stephenville on Oct 21st. We plan to honor the 600 known CSA veterans who are buried in Erath Co. A plaque honoring CSA veterans will be dedicated at the cememony, which has been approved by the Erath Co. Commissioners Court. A number of local and state elected officials have been invited to attend and participate in the ceremony. I'm sure the planning committee would be happy to discuss your group's possible participation in or attendance at the event. The person to contact is Mrs. Joyce Whitis. She is the Erath Co. CSA Monument Chairman.

Stephenville and Erath County are in central Texas, about 70 miles southwest of Ft.Worth/Dallas.
