Hello, I am 17 and thinking hard about going into the Marines. I had a recruiter call the other day and it was scary but it sounds like the right thing to do. Can anyone give me any advice on this?

as a marine who has already passed through paris island some time ago, i think it would be wise for the parents not to put pressure on their kids by letting them know that you are worried. just encourage your son or daughter and let them know you support their decision. because the more the parents worry the more the recruit worries. recruits need to be more focosed on get the mission accomplished (graduating) wrather than wishing they could be home with mom and dad.
