Waverider speaks first, clicking out a message in sonar-speech.

#I dive deep, dive fast.

Deep-swimming fish good snack!

Won't even know I'm there 'till they're dead.

But you have no teeth to snatch the fish.

So you follow shallow-water fish and beach them!#

He chirps cheerily and dives. He follows the fish moving into the depths, plunging into their school and snapping at a large one with his toothed snout. All the while, he is sending sonar clicks at the school, hoping to stun a few. ((Wild dolphins really will do that -- stun fish with their sonar.))

Stormsinger grins as she interprets her friend's message. Divide our forces. One of us alone ought to be able to catch enough for both, even if the other fails. Beach them, though? A good idea. I didn't realize he was capable of such advanced thinking. She surfaces. Moving slowly forward (it's hard to swim upright when you have a fish's tail!), she makes great waves with her arms, sending them towards both the fish and the shore. She hopes to both frighten them with her appearance and move them with her waves, sending at least two or three into such shallow water it can't escape her. Smart dolphin.

((The italics is Stormsinger thinking, not talking. She talks either in human speech or sonar haiku when she's communicating with others.))
