I used to hear this when I was a kid - Louis Prima did one version. I don't remember the verses, except the last one, but here is the chorus and the last verse:
there's a man who comes to our house, nearly every day.
Papa comes home when the man goes away,
Papa goes to work and mama gets the pay, and the man comes around when papa goes away.
Verse
When I grow up, I don't wanta be
a doctor or a lawyer, nosiree,

Pretty racy for the 1950's!
