There are some givens that we cannot change. I agree that buildings need full time tech support. However, School District Budgets are finite and they can only support a limited number of things. It is also increasingly difficult to find teachers/staff who want to take on the EPER position at the elementary level. The demands on the staff who do building tech support are sometimes overwhelming. I believe we need to think differently about how we deliver and expand tech support at the building level. As we consider our options, we need to consider expense.
