I keep meeting with my mentees on a daily basis. With 3 out of the 5 mentees I have been helping them to increase their technology skills. This was a priority to them before they begin to incorporate technology into their curriculum. They want to know more about what technology can do for themselves, management within their classes, and then how to use technology to enhance the curriculum within their classes.

With the other 2 we are planning projects to use within their classes. Teacher #1: already introduced the project to her students (she only has this class the first half of the year so it was important to start the project by November). It is a Consumer Education class and the students will be creating an advertisement/commercial on a topic discussed in class. The students will be using iMovie to create the final advertisement. Teacher #2: a special ed teacher teaches algebra/geometry. We are investigating ways in which technology can be used to enhance the learning of this subject matter.

Lastly, I am also holding an iMovie workshop on October 31st. So a lot of time has been spent on getting video ready for them to play with, getting any handouts created, finding things to enhance the video editing process. I have downloaded a lot of effects, sounds, transitions, etc. and am making sure all of the computers have this installed for that day.
