Subject: the apocalypse is upon us

The piebald brute stood upon a tall dune surveying the area protectively as if he was a dog standing guard of a prized bone. So long it had been since he had lain dark eyes on the beautiful panarama. Better now than never.. especially since challenging fools knocked on the door. No, Apono would never let them in. He had ruined his own black and white self and even the life and trust of Wings of Papillon, his former love. Never the Lagoon. No, she probably would not take him back. One time too many had the Lead wandered astray. Nothing was ever permanent. Except for this spit of land by the sea. Never would it fall to ignorant hooves. Never. Loyaly, at least for this one moment, the stallion remained standing guard. Would there be anyone else?
