i was in country from 8/67 to 9/68. I remember the guy that shot up the company because in September, when I was to get out, they spelled my name wrong and I had to stay an extra week and as luck would have it, i was on reactionary patrol. I ended up in a bunker with that nut because they let him back in. I didn't know whether to look ahead for satchel charge carriers or aside at him.

I worked in the vans that had the computer equipment that got hit that night in June - we had finished early and instead of playing cards till dawn like we usually did, we headed in. Good thing.

Do you remember the big football game we had with the 149th? We had DJ Hines at QB (x florida state I think)and a big black guy who was the Pacific heavy weight champ and we still got beat. I remember guys like tommy ryan, mickens off hand but I would have to look at my pictures for more names.

I was in the tent when billy van diver got shot in the groin by roy ?. I had my hand on the presure point in his crotch for 20 minutes until the chopper came. I visited him in the hospital and later heard he lost a leg. They were just horsing around and Roy never checked his weapon.

I remember Boyd and have pictures of Stapleman and Somerset. Can't put a face to your name.

Stay in touch.
