Here in Kyrgyzstan, we have wee microbuses every minute on the streets. 5 pence from anywhere to anywhere. Taxis are on every street corner, or by freephone, about one pound 40p anywhere in the city (the size of Glasgow). Try getting a taxi in Scotland at 1 am on New Year's morning. We managed absolutely no problem here, but the price went up 50%. Didn't really mind, as long as we got home safe.
