> I WAS AN INMATE IN WARNER HOUSE FOR 18 MONTHS UNTIL MARCH 1958 I LEARNED A LOT OF USEFUL THINGS TO PREPARE ME FOR A NEW LIFE AWAY FROM ANY CRIMINAL ACTIVITES, THE OFFICERS WERE BRILLIAN, I REMEMBER MR HILL, DAWSON, GATES, HOUSEMASTER BOOTH WHO WERE BRILLIANT IN EVERY WAY, THERE WAS NEVER ANY ABUSE ETC, I WAS RELEASED ON LICENCE IN MARCH 1958 AND MET THE LOVE OF MY LIFE IN THE JULY, WE MARRIED IN 1960 AND WE PRODUCED 5 CHILDREN, VERY FEW KNOW OF MY PAST LIFE INVOLVING CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES, I PREFER IT THAT WAY, LOWDHAM GRANGE WAS A BRILLIANT PLACE WERE EVERYONE WAS EQUAL AND HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN A TRADE ETC. IT IS SAD THAT IT HAS GONE AND OTHERS ARE DENIED THE OPPORTUNITIES WE HAD THERE. I am trying to put together a book on the experiences
>of people at Lowdham Grange Bortsal (Lads, Officers,
>wifes and kids who lived on the estate) to supplement
>the official image.

>looking back do you think any differently.
