The relation between Darla and the leper is very significant. At first when I heard the off comment I really didn't think much of it, but knowing about the changes in Darla for episode 9, well, I think the relation is substantiated.

Will Darla be cured by an important individual like Jesus (pbuh) did with the leper?

Could the child be the one that renews Darla's faith in herself and possibly "cleanse" her of her sins/problems/issues or even her vampirism? Could the child be to Darla like Jesus was to the leper?

The relation between prostition/leper=sin was very astute as well.

Again, do I think the "temptation of Christ" was an off collar comment? Nope. There's too much in common here for it to be as Rusuf points out in his wonderful post.

This comment also brings us back to the issue that Darla was denied a second chance. Jesus (pbuh) gave the leper a second chance to live. What if this child does the same for Darla?

Thank you Khali for pointing out such a wonder of a post.

Blue
