You have interesting thoughts, Blue. Having seen Fredless, I found it to be a very interesting episode. I liked fred in this ep, she was sweet and so little girlish that I just wanted to hug her.

Cordy/Wes mock-B/A scene was very funny to me since that's how I always saw the B/A relationship, full of melodrama. I even liked Fred's parents since they were the first set of parents on BtVS/Angel that weren't 'evil" or hateful to their child. Now, the arrival of the parents and the big mama bug can be used as foreshadowing for the Darla/Baby storyline.

This season's themes for Angel is learning to love again and what it means to be a parent. Fro Angel, the death of Buffy has left him with the freedom to move on and love again, a very good thing. His eyes could be set on Cordelia ('ship that I like) or someone else. I'm not going to say Darla because after the events of Epiphany, if Angel/Darla have some kind of working relationship that doesn't end up with her dead, then I'm going to call it a miracle. Fred's parents and the mama bug may refer to Angel/Cordelia's relationship as "parents" of the baby or Darla's role in starting to open her heart and learn how to love and have hope.
