Hope springs eternal. =) Oh, what it would be like to take a look into the future! I remember Darla�s line about "missed opportunities" and I think that phrase fits the character nicely.

Well, I don�t think there was any other way for Darla to save their child. Killing herself was the only way since the baby was dying within her. She basically had two options: 1) to live and let the baby die within her or 2) to die and let the baby live.

In regards to bringing her back, I would love that and I don�t care if its cheesy. For me though, there�s only one way to bring her back that would make any sort of sense and this was originally Khali�s idea. The one thing that Darla never had was a second chance to live as a human. What if the Powers brought her back but not as Darla? She�d be a completely different person and possibly have no memory of Darla.

Then again, I doubt the writers will bring her back. You never know, but � sorry.

No, that�s not a stupid thought. Even though I think she had a very respectable death, I can�t help but feel cheated when I think of the sorry lives she lived, that she�s not available for the Holtz plot (even though as we�ve seen through the flashbacks she was as integral as Angelus was), and that Spike and Dru are still walking around.

Another issue for me is that I can�t relate to Cordelia and her tired plotlines (ooh, the fascinating world of the visions) or even Fred. Fred is sweet, but she�s still considerably overshadowed by Cordelia. Thank God she was there with Darla and Angel in the end though. Darla/Kate/Faith were great female characters I felt very emotionally involved in because they had depth, were unpredictable and "gray." In other words they were interesting and yet again I�m left without a truly thought provoking female character.

I don�t know why Joss does some of the things he does. I think he really missed out on so many opportunities by having Darla die.

Yeah, I feel really bad for the baby and Darla. Will they ever get a chance to meet or just be together? It�s really a shame but when it comes down to it Darla and Angel had something no other ship has.
