Well I'm hoping that TPTB might bring her back as in Joss might do something like that. He doesn't seem to mind redundacy about resurrecting a person who's already died once before. (I'm still wondering about Buffy, she's already on her third chance now!)
But if not then I'll be happy with the flashbacks, though it won't be the same since Darla of old is far different then the new Darla. I loved how she sacrificed herself to save her son, how she realized her baby was going to die in an alley. Her line about how the baby was just the one good thing she and Angel did together was wonderful.
And then there was that part on the rooftop where Angel and Darla did their little reminisince of the past about the view. JB was just fantastic in delivering her lines, especially when Angel realized that she loved her baby. "Completely... I love it completely."
This has been the best Angel episode ever despite Darla's death. Perhaps she might come back as a Guardian Angel for the baby. The last thing I really want though, is for the baby to grow up and think of Cordelia as her mother, perhaps Fred since she was there when the baby was 'born' but I don't think Cordelia's deserving of the role.
*Grumbles something about that punch she threw at Darla*
